It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to our debut album! No Cause For Alarm is a record full of melodic pop songs with big fuzzy guitar sounds and thundering drums and bass. Many of its songs are about feeling out of place and wrestling with those parts of yourself that seem at odds with one another. Two years in the making and ready to rock!
Influenced by bands like The Pixies and Superdrag, People Places Things’ casual yet complicated sound echoes the character and nature of the band. It's a classic power pop outfit with guitar, drums, and bass, delivering rocking melodies. While a majority of the music and lyrics come from front-man Jim Kolpack, each song reaches fulfillment in the band’s collective.
The alternative pop rock band People Places Things formed in early 2013 when guitarist and songwriter Jim Kolpack was looking for a jam session. After reconnecting with drummer and former Butcher Brothers bandmate Matthew Higginbotham, they began a weekly exploration into some new and familiar sounds. Their lineup has changed over the years and now includes bassist Ryan Gaddis, completing the Knoxville based trio.
